A big part of ieTeam´s business is focused in latin America, where we have been operating for a long time. This has given us an expertise only experience can provide. This is the case of Colombia; where we have been present with an office since 2015 in Bogotá, providing Internationalization and Human Resources services.

In the internationalization area, our clients' profile can either be Colombian companies willing to export abroad, or foreign companies willing to establish or sell in Colombia. When we mention internationalization services, que are talking about a mix between international trade (export, imports, clients, suppliers…) and foreign implantations (market research, comparisons, planning, landing in the country…). Some of our Colombian clients started this business development process with us, some others were fully established in the country through offices, partners,  agents or logistic centers. 

This wide experience has shown us over the years that Colombia goes further than coffee, sweets and CHIVAS. We are talking about a big country with a lot of opportunities, especially on some sectors. TEXTILE

90% US textiles are imported. Colombia is a very interesting country for this sector´s production through national brands and labor. Furthermore, Colombia offers solutions to complex issues as the supply chain and fast delivery.
 

STEEL INDUSTRY

Colombia has a growing economy, which translates into growing demand for steel and steel products. Construction, infrastructure and manufacturing sector are areas that consume steel products considerably, and the increase in projects in these sectors contributes to the demand for products that encompass this sector. With construction being one of the key sectors for the country in recent years, demand is expected to continue rising.
 

AGRICULTURE

Colombia is a big exporter of agricultural goods such as avocados, bananas, and of course, coffee. However, it imports a lot of different agricultural products that require a big extension of land to be produced such as cereals. That, together with the increasing demography of the country, has led to an increase in the demand, and thus, in the import.

In a  nutshell, there are a lot of business opportunities and lot of very interesting sectors for American companies to open to the Colombian market. A country that is key for its geographical location and its open economic policies that makes Colombia a very attractive country to invest in.
