Para Salvador/BA Key Responsibilities: • Formulating strategy, on an account-by-account basis, by which new revenue opportunities are maximized and profitable business won. • Preparing sales strategy for allocated accounts in order to achieve and exceed sales revenue targets and other performance targets. • Accurately forecast new business month by month, providing three-month forecast at any time. • Developing new contacts either as decision makers or influencers. • Preparing a sales plan to displace competitive products within prospective client base. • Negotiation of commercially sound contracts for new customers. • Maintain and develop strong relationships with new customers through regular client meetings, responding to clients’ requests and feedback in a timely manner. • Attending LN-organised/sponsored customer events as required. • Conducting appropriate product demonstrations and client presentations. • Ensuring customer experience in terms of quantity and quality of contact is in line with targets. • Prioritising opportunities, ensuring that maximum customer facing time is achieved • Effectively working alongside other stakeholder departments such as Editorial, Product Adoption, Marketing and Credit Control to ensure an integrated approach to customer care and to ensure market needs are being met. • Demonstrate complete knowledge of the features, advantages and benefits of all LexisNexis products, and be able to demonstrate them fully. • Timely production of regular and ad hoc sales reports, keeping up to date with market changes and developments, and new products. • Completion of customer activities and the updating of sales pipeline using the LexisNexis CRM system. • Any other duties as reasonably required. Specialist Knowledge / Skills Required: • Proven track record of working successfully in a business development role in a challenging and commercially driven B2B sales environment • Strong and proven negotiation skills • Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships • Applied knowledge of best practice sales techniques, including negotiation, presentation skills and general communication • Employs a client centric, profit driven approach • Able to absorb and retain a large amount of product, system and market information Competencies: • Sales ability and persuasiveness • Driving for results • Negotiation • Communication • Building trusting relationships • Entrepreneurial Spirit • Flexibility and experience to work across many sectors
